If the headache is of secondary nature is it likely to be a tip of the iceberg and the true problem should be diagnosed as early as possible to avoid much damage. Some of the diseases that result in secondary headache are
Traumas in head and neck:

Infections like meningitis HIV/AIDS or drugs can a reason for secondary headaches beside these dehydration is among the major cause of secondary headaches. Renal dialysis and hypertension can also cause secondary headaches.
Beside all these it can also be a result of alcohol hangover, smoking which triggers a variety of health issue can be a reason for excessive caffeine and medication overdose can also be a basis do headaches.
